TEMP ROLE - Certified Welder Inspector! 

Connect has partnered with our client seeking a Certified Welder Inspector! 

Pay: $22 - $30/hr - depending on certifications and experience 

Schedule:  

• First Shift: Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM - 5:30 PM

• Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

• Saturday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Location:  Galloway, TN 

Position Type: Contract 

Position Scope:  We are seeking a highly qualified Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with experience in structural steel inspection and coatings. The ideal candidate will be local, possess certifications in both weld and coatings inspection, and have a proven track record in similar roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld Inspection: Perform inspections according to AWS D1.1, AWS D1.8, and AWS D1.5 standards.

• Structural Dimensional Checks: Ensure all structures meet specified dimensions and quality standards.

• Writing Inspection Tickets & Reporting NCRs: Accurately document inspection findings, including any Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

• NDT (Non-Destructive Testing): Conduct NDT if qualified (Note: NDT qualification is highly desirable but not mandatory).

• Monitoring Welders & Qualifications: Oversee and verify the qualifications and work of welders on-site.

• Coating Inspection: Perform coatings inspections, monitor and record environmental conditions, take and report measurements, and complete all necessary QC reports.

Qualifications:

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI): AWS certification required.
• Experience in Structural Steel Inspection: Proven experience in structural steel is essential.
• NACE Coating Inspector Certification: Level I or II preferred.
• Local Candidates Preferred: Applicants should be within a reasonable commuting distance.
