Job Description
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician for Digital Printers and Production Equipment is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of digital printing machines and other production equipment. The role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and meets the company's quality standards, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on digital printers, presses, and related production equipment.
Inspect and test equipment components regularly to ensure proper functionality.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and future service schedules.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues in digital printers and production equipment.
Perform repairs to fix malfunctions and restore equipment to operational status promptly.
Replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Installation and Setup:
Assist in the installation and setup of new digital printing machines and production equipment.
Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate and consistent output.
Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers during installation processes.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all repaired and maintained equipment meets the company's quality standards.
Conduct test prints and production runs to verify proper equipment performance.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support and guidance to production staff regarding the operation of digital printers and equipment.
Train operators in proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting techniques.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance and repairs.
Ensure that all equipment is operated in a safe and efficient manner.
